I talk to a lot of real estate agents that struggle with staying connected with their past clients.

Some of the other videos I have made have discussed this topic as well as strategies and ways to stay in touch with people, but the fact of the matter is that some of us really struggle to stay connected to our past clients.

I believe that part of this struggle is that we sometimes feel that we don't have a reason to connect with our past clients. 

My strategy today - a way to connect with your clients consistently and to give them value - is the concept of the annual review. I had an awesome agent that shared this with me and it's simply a matter of contacting your clients once a year, maybe on the anniversary of the day they purchased or sold their home, and doing a quick review with them.

The best way to do this is to set up a time to get together at a restaurant or a coffee shop and have quick 20 to 30 minute face-to-face conversation. Take this time to dig a little deeper. Find out how their family is doing, what they have been up to and do an annual review where you go over a few questions about their home, their needs, and their future plans. There may have been some changes in their life and they could be looking to move or invest in real estate.

This conversation can go a long way towards deepening your relationships with your clients and gives you a reason to connect with them at least once a year.
